Many prominent black conservatives and republicans are considering supporting Uh-Um Obama for President over John McCain. I can understand the dissilusionment over McCain, but supporting Obama is antithetical to the beliefs they have long held. While John McCain has began to sound more like a solid candidate recently, Obama has continued to define himself as the Move-Oh candidate.
Obama has chosen to be the candidate for the LEFT in our Country, contrary to his centrist tag, he is the most liberal member of the Senate. Don't believe me, read the Left's own National Review. Yet, despite being the Move-On Candidate and the unlikliest choice to forge compromise across the aisle, he has had an amazing appeal to black Conservatives and Republicans. Care to guess why?
No, not is support for the War on Terror.
No, not for his support for LIFE issues
No, not for his support for smaller government, states rights or fiscal discipline.
No, it is not even his call for bi-partisanship..
no, no, no...is is the exacty opposite of MLK's message, his clarion call made in the lofty "I have a Dream Speech"...to be judged by one's character rather than the color of one's skin.
Armstrong Williams, J.C. Watts, Colin Powell, and many others are forgeting about there disdain for Racial Profilling and Afirmative Action, well maybe not in all cases, just for President of the Free World!
At least one, no make that many, good solid principled black Americans see it for what it is...see link...

The black conservatives who are considering voting for Um-Uh Obama are making it loud and clear they belong in the the Party of 'Do as I say not as I do'.
So many of us conservatives have looked and heap great praise upon those who have stood out and been the true modern martyrs for Philosophical Freedom in America, being a Conservative Black!
Clarrance Thomas has been hit with every possible attack immaginable. J.C. Watts was too, Gary Franks recalls of being left out of the Black Caucus in Congress because he was Conservative...yet, some today think it is more important for our National Security, our National Economy, our National Leadership in World Affairs, our Moral and Ethical standards, our beacon of Freedom to have a Socialist elected because his 'tint' is a little darker than the content of his mind.
America is becoming a shallow place, not because we have brave young men fighting half way around the world for someone else's freedome and right's to self determination rather because we so callously ignore our greatness for momentary symbolism. I know of no conservative, though I am sure some exist, who would not vote for a women or minority should they support our Constitution and our principles set forth in Reagan's great "Choosing" speech.
Today, we are led by emotion and vacant ideals of what things look and sound like rather than what they are. Today we lack the moral leadership and strenght to stand tall against our internal faults. Today we risk electing a man who is willing to threaten an ally like Pakistan while calling for withdrawl in Iraq. We risk electing a man who believes that socialism is our future not freedom. We risk giving away all our ancestors gave us, simply to feel good about to color of the person we elect.
Being a color-blind society is not about the 'tint; of the candidates skin rather it is the content of his Character!
