Sen. Barack Obama released a series of comments on the Russia invasion of Georgia. Stepping off his Campaign plan at Heathrow Airport in the effort to court ex-patriot American's, Obama remarked that "having been to Atlanta many times, we cannot sit by while Russian forces move across the border and threaten the good people of Georgia."
When querried about what the heck are you talking about Candidate Obama, he said, "his foriegn policy mentor Jimmy Carter still resides in Georgia and that a threat against a former President is a threat against the whole of our nation." Obama went on to say that he looks forward to traveling to Rome, Georgia soon and to toss a coin in the fountains there. I will pre-emptively release my wish, as to not allow it to become a political issue as it did in the Jewish Whinning Wale. I will wish for the Russian invassion to cease and for the international borders of Georgia and Russia to be respected...I urge and wish for World Peace! The people of Georgia are suffering enough with consequences of slavery haunting them today."
The campaign quickly issued a press release correcting the medias failure to understand the original releases and clarified that Obama knows well that the Repubic of Georgia is not a state in the United States. Obama, retorted that, the media is failing to understand the specific references and comparisons trying to be made.
Asked if he would issue additional comments on the Georgia and Russian conflict, he said, "The Soviet Union is free nation, but Georgia deserves the same respect for its borders, I need to go now, but thanks, tally-ho"
