The DEMS came back to power beacuse of two issues, the War in Iraq and Gross Corruption by too many Republicans. It is safe to say, the DEMS will very little different than the Republicans and the President with respect to the War but most had hoped the 2006 electons would usher in a better stewardship of the peoples money and a fullfillment of Ethical Imporvments.
However, what lies in ashes at the feet of the American people is the failed promise by Pelosi of 'a new ethical standard'. Reminds me of The Four Tops song, "The Same Old Song"...

So too do the DEMS...Senator's Dodd and Conrad are neck deep in a embroglio and have the oft neive Rep. Barney Frank as a co-conspiritor to fleece the American people of 300 billion.
Senator Dodd has received more money from Banks, Mortgage Lenders and Financial Institutions than all other contributors combined.
Thanks to many Americans and their calls to members of Congress we are beating down the Beast of Washington...but we need to keep swinging! Folks like Dick Armey who has been smacked by the WSJ along with his grassroots organization FREEDOMWORKS.ORG have been instrumental in providing the necessary 'light' on this subject. Keep it uP!
America needs transparency and full disclosure of our institutions of government...All we are getting is the SAME OLD SONG, and OBAMA is our Messiah!
