Cost of this election=t the TRUTH

The list of what this election cost, long term, the American people is very long...but perhaps the most important thing lost is the truth!
We can speak about respect to the Constitution, but this is a sub-set of Truth.
We can speak about the issues of LIFE with Abortion and Euthanasia and Embryonic Stem Cell, but it too is a sub-set to truth!
We can speak and write about the role of government in our lives, the 95% of Americans who will not see a Tax Cut...or the Troops leaving Iraq in a hurry, the eventual firmer tone the next President will have with Iran, etc...but it is still about the truth!
You will see the POST LINKED BELOW and the miss-use, abuse by the journalistic community with respect to the truth!

BUT...we can not stop focusing upon this very matter...for we have allowed through manipulation the evaporation of truth.

You can expect the relection of the next President to include a tried and true effort to deflect again his associations and past...the trite expression of "haven't we been over this before...", "this is old news...", "This has already been vetted"...etc...
the Associations of the next President were not vetted, dealt with by the media with any serious journalism...
We have example after example of backpeddling by the media...Newsweek, TIME, Brokaw, etc...telling  us 'perhaps we do not know this man well enough"...
Yet, we will not be satisfied to say, we told you so...for our country, the Constitution, or way of government rests in the balance...
We get no joy from being proved right, we find no solace in the possibility of being on the right side of this historic argument...

too much rests in being wrong!
Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, Father Plegger, et al. tell us enough...we only pray that the next 4 years are un-eventful

Obama disses Nancy Reagan, on Hillary gaffe

President Elect Obama, who previously showed his lack of knowledge of history comically attacked Nancy Reagan about 'her' channeling dead Presidents, when it really was Hillary who channeled Elenor Rooseveldt. He must have spent too much time with the human gaffe machine, Joe Biden...you might recall he spoke of people watching TV when the Depression hit...

Not off to a great start...he certainly wold not fare well on the Are you smarter than a 5th grader...

Where does the GOP go from here? POST MORTEM

The Post Mortem of the Election is beginning…

WHY?

What is next?
What will happen to the GOP?

Are Conservatives Relevant?

Will the GOP ever win again?

All of this is legitimate, but it needs to be view through the reality of the Historic moment, the PERFECT STORM of the 2008 election.

First, consider that it was a referendum on President Bush, not the Conservative movement. The buildup of angst over the Iraq War, GOP Malfeasance and the daily barrage against Bush and the GOP in the Manufactured Media for more than 4 years.

Second, the Economy is always the most important issue for voters when it is problematic. Historically, the surest test of an electoral outcome is the state of the economy. This fluid situation that had its roots with the CRA in the Carter years, was boosted along during Clinton and found its peak under Bush, just happened to POP shortly after the Conventions…just in time to hurt the party in Office…irrespective of WHO caused it, or WHY it happened…that is just too much detail for the average voter.

Third, the historic act of a major party nominating the first Black American for President of the United States. The fact is that Barack Obama enjoyed a swoon of history on his side..everyone (nearly everyone) would like to be proud of the distance the United States has come since Slavery, the Civil War, Jim Crow, and Segregation. It is easy to assign this candidacy to the pedestal of our American Exceptionalism. Though certainly not guaranteed to win, the first Black nominee of a major party has many advantages that ordinary candidates would not have had, the first time around. Minorities in general would feel the import of the historic moment, and the rest of the American people would also like to be part of that achievement…the part of belonging to something bigger than just a Presidential Election.

SO the question remains what is left for the GOP, the Conservative Movement and where do they go from here.

Since we briefly looked at the three elements that made up this POLITICAL PERFECT STORM, we need to look at the lay of the land as the storm clears and the sky’s turn Red, White and Blue again…

The Conservative Movement specifically and the GOP in general have to realize the color of the rainbow that is left in the wake of this storm. The ‘browning’ of America, the growth of Latino populations in America, is an undeniable truth. We need to realize that we cannot win long term with only White men and some White women…we need to recruit minorities who are also concerned with traditional conservative issues.

This is not to say we need to give up our Social issues (LIFE, MARRIAGE, ETC), we only need to educate and reach out to the Latino community in a more direct and rational way. Black American’s and Latino American’s go to Church and are traditionally socially conservative, We need to remind them of this, and recruit more from these two communities.

Clearly we lost the Latino vote and it cost the McCain camp dearly. Rove successfully gained enough in 2000 and 2004 to win the White House and the GOP will need to do better here in the future. While the Latino vote is a sub-set of the Catholic Vote, which too is a sub set of the Social Issue of Life. The Challenge to the GOP is to educate Latino’s on their Faith, the primordial issue of Life and to bring them back into the Social Conservative voting group…but the obstacle is Trust in Immigration, in particular.

IMMIGRATION needs to be considered as a comprehensive issue going forward for the GOP. The Pelosi Mafia and Pollsters on the Left will realize, if they already have not, that passing an amnesty immigration path bill will enhance their (DEM) chances of retaining this vitally important vote into the future…Colorado, Florida, New Mexico and Los Angeles proper are key to this point.

McCain lost Los Angeles by 1.2 Million votes…the same types of Demographics can help explain why reaching out to Latinos is important for the future…and we can expect the Pelosi Mafia to do it in the next term.

The GOP needs to recruit minority candidates, mostly Hispanic/Latino, to begin this healing process. Losing this demographic will place the GOP into a monochrome box in perpetuity.   Vital to the GOP and Conservative movement success is to bring Latino’s into the fold as traditional Protestant Work Ethic American’s…willing to work, willing to do whatever is necessary to take care of their family…reach them on both the religious grounds but also the Family Value grounds.

The GOP would be smart to begin to find a common ground, sensible and long-term solution for the Immigration problems…

1)NEXT, the GOP must get back to the CORE message and SPECIFIC message of Conservatives desires…Limited Government, Lower Taxes, Liberty, Freedom, Strong Defense, and Fiscal Conservatism. A renewed CONTRACT with the AMERICAN PEOPLE must be developed that can be synthesized and communicated. The GOP Failed to remain true to it’s values since the early days of the Bush years (2002) and the by-product is being swept out like the houses on the Gulf Coast as Katrina moved in. We must realize that the efficiency of a consistent message allows for fewer dollars to be used to achieve larger coverage.

2) The GOP and Conservatives must realize that money is not going to flow to our coffers for a while; we must understand that the DEMS will remain the bulwark in fundraising, so we must develop a strategy that relies upon more grassroots appeal, support and utilization of resources. The lack of money will be a huge obstacle, but if we craft an ALINSKI MODEL that enthusiastically challenges the mainstream thought with a consistent and clear, rhythmic message, our needs for funds will not be so great to recover the reins of government.

This cannot be overstated, that we must work smarter, harder and more clearly. The Obstacle of our cause is that the ALINSKI MODEL is one best served in an URBAN environment, where geography is more easily traversed. Our challenge here will be the mastering of the URBANIZATION of the WEB…we must look at WEB-BASED COMMUNITIES as the left has used URBAN POPULATION S.

Educating the masses on the VALUES they have, and aligning it with the CONSERVATIVE movement is key. Re-enforcing what they already believe but creating the connection to the GOP/CONSERVATIVE movement is our key…ID…Religion, Values, Taxes, Jobs, Economy, Defense, LIFE, Family, etc…

3) LIMITED GOV’T is a core level issue that must be sworn to like an oath to office. We must never allow ourselves to be viewed through the corrupt scope of Lobbying Dollars again. Our enemy has blurred the view with great help from the GOP APROPRIETOR CLASS officials. This is our Achilles heel issue. McCain missed his opportunity to differentiate himself with BUSH, OBAMA, PELOSI, REID and FRANK by not railing against the Bailout…we must never be seen as being the BIG GOVERNMENT types again. Our chore must be to illustrate the difference with us and the Socialist Mentality…despite the fluid movement of so many towards this line of thought…we cannot be half-socialists or we will lose every time.

4) Post Election analysis showed that we did not lose because fewer conservatives are out there verse Liberals, it is because we failed to BE conservatives. We still represent about 33% while LIBS are 22% and Moderate are 45%...so we are still ahead in the game…we need to begin to win the MINDs, HEARTs and SOULs of the moderates….it can be done via consistency of message and a commitment to proper education.

5) Pendulums swing…we must not be afraid of being true to our cause…support our issues, but we must not worry that we are lost. We must realize that the challenge ahead is perhaps more difficult than it was in 1992…the first time you sneak up on someone is the easiest!

We will not win trying to be the best moderate party out there, we will win when we convince enough folks that we cannot afford all that the LEFT likes to promise…we must remain positioned to be ready to assume control again, but being committed to our principles and our cause..Limited Government, Lower Taxes, More Freedom and Individual Liberty…

We will see over the next 3-5 years the failings again of International Socialism, we must be ready to Indentify it again, be ready to provide an alternative. City after city will fail to meet their spending desires, County after County and State after State…business after business will fail like Ford Motor and United Airlines in the near future…we need to be ready to offer an alternative set of ideals and principle other than the knee-jerk Socialist proposal as we saw with the 700Billion Bailout…

The PRINCIPLE of the CONSERVATIVE MOVEMENT needs to be…GOVERNMENT only produces UN-INTENDED CONSEQUENCES…that Government should not pick Winners from the Losers…

The Obama Presidency will fail because of its weak foundation…it rests upon the CULT OF PERSONALITY,…Castroian, Chavezian, and now Obamaian…Socialism is our enemy, …this is why the theme of the Obama campaign rested upon a tax cut for 95% of American’s…it relied upon Populism.

Below you can see the urban centers who bought this message…it is classic ALINSKI MODEL organizing…from the ‘touching’ of the masses, the pitting one class verse the other, to the populist message of CHANGE/HOPE and it only resting in one Man…in one cause Socialism…it was magnificently achieved by grit, desire , practice and timing…utilizing the Internet, technology and traditional Community Organizing techniques…we need to build our counter organizations to combat the infrastructure of the URBAN POPULAR movement created by the Obama team…

Conservatives stead ready to work! Conservative stand ready to organize and unit, stand ready to recruit, get dirty and build the necessary model that will lead to long term success!

Bailout aided Obama

John McCain was racing in the polls, to a slight lead thanks to the energy brought by the pick of Sarah Palin. The base finally came out for the Senator, began to support the campaign, add bumper stickers to their cars and signs to their yards, man phonebanks and speak of the virtue of McCain the man!

Then the bottom fell out of the financial markets...Paulson a Democrat comes to Bush and says you must go on TV and press for a BailOut...McCain had a choice to make...No,... not whether to debate or not (his decision to put the debate into question caused a free fall of support from moderates), but rather whether to support the FED in Bailing out the Markets by using the Treasury to fund Selelcted Businesses...

John McCain held one card in common with the Base of his Party, that of Fiscal Conservativism. ON the day he decided to support the bailout and not fight and rail against it, he lost the campaign.

Obama was elected the day McCain supported the Bailout...and the GOP paid dearly.

The one issue that could have demonstrated his leadership in Spending, Fiscal Management and his DISTANCE from the BUSH ADMINISTRATION was presented to him on a golden platter...BUT alas, McCain failed the test of his Campaign.

Assuming he would have challanged the logic, ethics and ideals behind government selecting the winners of the fiscal gambles made in the markets as pressed by Government Entities like Freddie/Fannie. McCain could have placed himself as the one, lone voice, protecting the people of the United States. He could have used this as the moment of truth about the difference of experience and frivolity. He could have used the Bail Out as a tool to place into contrast himself, and Obama, Pelosi, Frank, Dodd, and perhaps most importantly--BUSH!

The Election turned out to be a referendum on BUSH, but if Obama and Bush were on one side of the most historic financial crisis in the US in 70 years and McCain stood on the other for the little guy, Joe Six-pack, Joe the Plumber and the rest of us...who would be cheering today would be McCain and his transition team.

Rather than arming the Obama folks with more BUSH=McCAIN ammo, it would have derailed the BUSH in the REARVIEW MIRROR ads being played by the DNC in Congressional Races and by Obama in Swing State advertising.

The ultimate test of his campaign sealed the deal for Obama...when McCain chose to support the BAILOUT and thusly the President, he alligned himself with Bush to the bitter end. Irrespective of the fact Obama supported it too, the fact was that Obama crafted a more quiet and sublime support while McCain pinned himself to the success of a quick fix that was never going to come.

The irony that presented itself from the earlier quote McCain uttered about not being the brightest on economics proved pivitol in this campaign, not becuase it was true, but becuase it was proven!

McCain bought into the Paulson, Goldman Sachs self preservation plan of a BAILOUT not realizing it could not protect the markets from the tide of fear. Once the Tidal Wave of financial doubt crept in, it could not be saved...McCain failed to grasp the severity of the cirsis, and thus tied himself to the logic of an illogical plan.

McCain suffered a loss in November for his failure to stand with his principles of fiscal conservativism...he stood alone at times trying to prevent mismanagment at Fannie and Freddie in the early years of the Bush Administration, but failed to recall his own advise...Government should not play loose and free with the peoples money...government should not pick winners and losers!

McCain by picking the Bailout, picked the next President...hello President-elect Obama

Palin saved McCain from utter slaugther

Too many LIBS, McCain-ites, Media Elites and anti Conservervative folks have begun this mantra of linking Palin to the demise of McCain...while the evidence suggests just the opposite...so are they being coy, ignorant or just lying...you be the judge...what is their gain from the narative?
it is to limit her long term success, isn't it!

Palin clearly added and improved the McCain campaign as the Exit Poll data above shows. Many have argued that 'they would have supported McCain if not for the selection of Palin as the VP choice are not supported be the emperical data from above. Those who said (in exit polls) it was the "MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR" both Favorably and Negatively, were only 7% of the total, they voted slightly more for McCain than Obama. Those who said it was either 'an important factor favored McCain to a greater level than those who voted for Obama...it is clear she helped the campaign!

Per the CNN exit poll:

McCain's Choice of Sarah Palin-- (as presented in Exit Polls)

Most Important Factor (7%)
52% (Obama)
47% (McCain)
1%

Important Factor (33%)
47% (O)
52% (M)
1%

Minor Factor (20%)
33% (O)
66% (M)
1%

Not a Factor (33%)
65% (O)
33% (M)
2%

Was McCain Choice of Palin a Factor in Your Vote?

Yes (60%)
43% (O)
56% (M)
1%

No (33%)
65% (O)
33% (M)
2%

Clearly the ultimate answer was that She clearly benefited the campaign, and thus you can see WHY the McCain insiders are bashing, dishing dirt and trying to drag her through the mud.

McCain should step up and acknowledge this fact in his rebuke of Campaign aids trying to blame Palin, and discredit her...IF McCain is the man he claims to be...we should her him today...if not you can expect him to carry the water for Obama, crossing the aisle to kill the Republican Party.
Which is it Senator...are you going to protect the image of the women who saved your campaign from utter defeat?

The media narative is that she caused McCain to lose out on moderates and independents...the fact is she energized the base an allowed for this to not be a masacre it could/would have been.

Feel good moment

November 4th 2008 was an historic moment, something our nation should always be proud of...a moment that did transcend the harsh racial tensions of our past. While we should celebrate the man, Barack Obama, the real hero in this is the American People.
Time Mag will soon bring us the annual TIME PERSON OF THE YEAR...it likely will be Barack Obama, but it should be the AMERICAN PEOPLE for selecting Barack Obama as our next President.
Barach Obama will both succeed and fail on the path ahead, the journey will be full of ups and downs...the one truth is that the American People will continue to find ways to lead the world for decades and perhaps centurys to come!

While Barack Obama and Joe Biden failed to show Charity in their past the American People continue to do so...this year 306 Billion!

So congratulations Senator, President Elect Obama and to the victor goes the spoils...good luck, and GOD's speed to leading our nation in the right direction...

Obama buys the election (part 2)

I have argued that Obama's campaign used illegal money to help buy its way into the White House, but that is only the first part of this purchase plan.
The second phase of the Axelrod/OBama plan was to buy American Voters with direct payments. By arguing in a Center/Right fashion to give tax cuts to 95% of American's it neatly wrapped a gift in $100 bills. Failing to honestly point out that many of the folks in this plan would be given direct payments because they do not pay income taxes, but only payroll taxes helped to seal the deal.
The reality is that a candidate for President offered, that if elected, he will pay you for your vote...
so who would not vote for him?

Those making less than 50K sided with Obama by 60 to 38 margin. Those making less than 100K it was 55 to 43 percent. Tax Cuts are a good, sound limiting policy to control the size of government...but including in this effort a direct payment from the treasury is not a good, sound limiting policy, it reaks of bribery.

So while we congratulate President Obama on a historic victory, it is sobering to understand the underlying details.

Obama buys a victory

Perhaps the most interesting Exit Poll number comes from the CAMPAIGN CONTACT numbers...
Barack Obama, it is known now, turned off all protective controls on his website for online donations. To what end?
To allow unfettered dollars to come into the campaign from everywhere and anywhere!

This allowed the Obama campaign to raise unprecedented sums of money, from every conceivable source including overseas...but what did it gain him, besides ad time?

Well it gained him access to voters in an historic number of contacts. The exit polling shows that each campaign had about an 80% success rate on voters they contacted that the opponent did not contact. When both campaigns contacted the same voter it turned in McCain's favor by a 51 to 47 margin. Those who did not get contacted which was 60% of the voters they went slightly for Obama by a 50 to 48 margin...
But what is most telling and served most clearly by the MONEY RAISED is the vast difference in total of people contacted.

Obama contacted 7% more people than McCain contacted, a direct result of the vast sums of money raised...serviced by the very well oiled campaign. Great credit should be given to an exceptionally, and revolutionarey campaign model created by the Obama camp, but the vast sums of money affored advantages unequaled by the McCain campaign...

It is for others to discern the reality of illegal money gained and gamed by Obama, but the system failures will be ignored because the very people who are charged to illustrate the problems, the media, will ignore the problems as they did during the Campaign season...they got what they wanted, they got their president.

13% of the voters were contacted by Obama alone while only 6% by McCain, this is a tangible result of the oath violation of Campaign Public Funding by Obama that allowed for record sums of money to come into the campaign from everywhere.

Liberals and the Media will ignore the FUNDS and where they came from...but let us not forget, let us never forget it was a bought election. The rallies that took place around the globe did not take place because these folks care about American Politics but rather because they were allowed to influence American Politics.

Catholic Vote costly despite Pelosi

For the first time in anyone's memory Catholic Bishops, Cardinals and Clergy came out to defend Catholic Doctrine, not against Obama but against Representative Pelosi. As proud as many of us are of the leadership of this Clergy to set the record straight, it was too little too late.
Catholics should know their doctrine better than they do,...this problem rests clearly on the poor managment of foundation training. The Catechism needs to be taugh, to lay-persons and to Clergy. We have failed to educate the Catholic Layity.
Who is to blame?
UCCB
The use of Catholic Schools to teach non-Catholics basics in education has led to a failed teaching paradigm. The Church in the United States has valued money over teaching Catholics. This has led to an elitism of Catholic Education, only those of great means can afford to send their children to Catholic Schools.
Understandably, the movement or shift from Nuns, Brothers as instructors to lay-persons has led to the de-emphasis of Catholic Foundational teaching and the need to raise more money to pay for the added costs...but at what expense?
The loss of a generation of Catholics who understand their faith.

So on November 4th 2008 was squarely on the Catholic Church in the United States.
The failure to bring in Latino American's into the schools to teach them thier faith had led to a lack of specific understanding of our doctrine. Certainly, immigration leap to the forfront of the minds of Latino voters who overwhelmingly supported and voted for Obama rather than that of LIFE issues.
Obama represents the most extreme candidate ever nominated to his party as candidate for President...what should have been an easy choice for Catholics was not...because of failure of the Clergy Class to reach the Masses.

While exit polls show 52% of White Catholics supported McCain, McCain lost the overall Catholic Vote by a margin of 54 to 45 in Obama's favor.
Understandably, the Cultural Catholic who is seldom found in the pews voted more favorably for Obama, it remains the failure of the Church to demonstrate what a Catholic is...
Unique to the Catholic Church is the 'Cultural' member, one who perhaps was born to Catholic parents, describes themselves as a Catholic but is no more Catholic as I am Italian or Scotch or Irish. They are CINO's Catholic in Name Only.

Ultimately, the failure to persuade the Latino voter that their faith needs to help define them in the spiritual realm, is the failure of our faith today. We must as AMERICAN'S, reach out to our brothers and sisters who are of hispanic origin and bring them into the fold of their faith.
IF we are going to save the lost generations of Abortion in the future we must understand that Catholics need to unite under the glory that is found in the truth of Jesus Christ.

We must understand that LIFE is the moral issue of our time, the Slavery issue of our TIME and that if any life is worth the effort of government protection it is that LIFE that is least able to help itself...the child in the womb.

The great lie is that it was not Liberal Amerca that stood up to Hitler, Stalin or Pol Pot, it was all of America. But it will only be Conservative Cathoic America that stands up for the Child not yet born. To succeed we need all Catholic American's aboard on this quest.
The GOD who granted us life and  liberty also granted us 'free will'...our will to succeed must be great than our will to survive.
Not again should 54% of Catholics choose a candidate that supports Abortion.

McCain (insider) efforts to Sabatoge Palin

Today, we are witnessing the reason most conservatives have disliked and not trusted John McCain...we are witnessing the tearing down of Palin by McCain insiders.
Why?
It is an effort to resurrect the Maverick McCain by savaging Palin.
The past Mainstream Media Darling John McCain wants to be the Media Darling again. To do this and assume again the mantle he so enjoyed, he must destroy the person he helped to elevate. McCain (insiders) have decided it is either him (them) or her, and his heroic past is long gone, and what is evident is that he had surrounded himself with people of low character. These people cannot see what the rest of us see, that it was a horribly run campaign, perhaps one of the worst ever...
The real questions are...
Who garnered the great crowds? Palin of course...
Would these insiders do this if McCain did not support the effort to harm her?  It could be stopped if McCain came out and stopped it

McCain needs to come out today to defend the women who stood in defense for him...If he does not it will harm his standing in the minds and hearts of the base...whom she rallied.

They have only themselves to blame.
The savaging of Sarah Palin can only be stopped if John McCain were to stand up, genuinely, and claim these efforts to be unworthy. For McCain to say that Sarah was a great runningmate who deserves the mantle she helped to decorate.

McCain Campaign insiders are certainly trying to CYA, but to savage Sarah Palin is a disturbing result of rats trying to escape a ship already sunk. Rick Davis and crew ran an embarassing campaign that failed to take advantages of the few oppertunities presented themselves...

McCain lost because of Bush Fatique, because it was a Referendum against Bush, it ran as close as it did becuase of Palin energizing the base. It was the great crowds that Sarah generated that energized the campaign...McCains finest moment was selecting Palin...not retorting by comparing Palin vs Obama was his mistake. Experience of my number 2 vs the Dem Presidential Nominee should have been the card being played.

John McCain needs to take control of his people, the people he selected and defend the women who stood by his side and kept GOP spirits high!

Palin saved the GOP

The day after the Democratic Convention the anointing of Obama was about to be made, except Senator McCain had an ace in the hole, named Sarah Palin. The resulting soaring of McCain in the Polls was a net result of the Palin Effect. If not for the Colapse of the Economy, the crashing Financial Crisis, the bottoming out of housing boom...who knows what would have happened this past tuesday...
Certainly, Obama would still have been the likely victor, but let us dispell some bogus Naratives from the Media...
1) McCain was hurt by Sarah Palin...
Exit Polls show that for 33% she had zero impact.
Exit Polls show that only 7 % considered it the Most Important Factor in their decision...they sided with Obama 52 to McCain 47
Hardly an impact that changed McCain's outcome...
However...
33% of those polled said it was an important factor, they sided with McCain 53 to 47...while 20% who held it as a minor influence sides with McCain by a 66% margin...
So what impact did she have?
the same polls asked the key question Was the Palin Selection a factor in your choice, the answer was...
those who answered YES favored McCain 56 to 43, while those who answered NO favored Obama 64 to 33...

The net result is that she was a full net gain...
any person claiming she was the reason they voted against the McCain ticket are clearly disengenious. They never were going to vote for McCain anyway.

The base was energized and was the only energy the campaign had...if not for the Palin selection, this would have been more like 1964 than 1980.

Ulitmately Palin brought the conservative base into the McCain camp, which had been lacking...if not for Palin the campaign would have fared worse than Dole, or even that of Goldwater!

Case CLOSED!

Experience is Sarah Palins middle name

The Forehead Begalla cries alligator tears in anger over the selection of Sarah Palin. Calling her green and raw on experience compared to the Messiah Obama. My Father told me, when arguing with a Liberal, never confuse them with the facts...but here I go.
First, Sarah Palin has executive experience as both a mayor and and a governor. She is the only one of the four who is experienced at real executive decision making.
Second, as Governor of Alaska she negotiated with the Cannadian Government on a Pipeline deal...while Obama admits to not knowing much about buying a house.
Third, as Governor she is the head of the Alaska National Guard and the uniquely engineered unit for first line defense full time National Guard unit because of there location. Bordering Russia, she is the only governor who borders a real threat!
Fourth, she has negotiated and stood toe to toe with the very companies Obama, Biden and even McCain complains about, big Oil.
Fifth, she is the epitomy of ethics, she resigned a position to show the extent of the corruption witnessed.
Sixth, she is the wife of a husband who resigned his position when she became governor becuase she would be negotiating with said companies...isn't Biden's son a lobbyist who has lobbyied Joe Biden himself?? Yes...
Seventh, Palin is at the point of our National Defense, the very missle defense system that helped to bring down the Soviet Empire. Our first line of defense in the US system of protection. The front line against Terrorism, etc...

So, what is it again that Obama has experience with, Biden? Sarah is a person charged with making decisions, as Truman said, the Buck Stopped with her...while Obama and Biden is where the BS resides.

Civil Rights begin with the Right to Life

Liberals and Democrats like to extoll the virtue of supporting Civil Rights but fail to see the foret through the trees. The falacies of logic that ride shotgun with the liberal mind are laughable if they were not maddening. Liberals faith to grasp even the simplist cause and effect.

When we hear them utter equal rights for Gays with respect to marriage, or equal pay for women, minimum wage or welfare for illegal immigrants they fail to recognize the most important right. The right to life!

We cannot begin to discuss the rights denied to man without first discussing the denial Liberals extend to the 'least of these'. We cannot allow liberals to shape the debate for they fail to include the entire picture. We cannot allow for any discussion of Civil Rights to be uttered without first stopping this utterance and point to the failure of Liberals to protect the 'least of these.'

It would be wise for all Conservatives, Evangelicals and those who value LIFE, to stop the Liberals, at the very beginning, and raise the stacks by asserting the first right reserved in our DOI is that of the Right to LIFE! That we cannot appreciate any God given right without first enjoying, protecting and exercising the Right to Life. All other Rights are joined in time with the that of conception, the beginning and that of birth.

Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden and Barack Obama are dispicable humans for they are selfish and cruel. They have theirs but deny others theirs.  Democrats will argue that we can pay for everyones healthcare, their job training, their schooling, their food, housing and transporation an d anything else they need. Teach a man to fish you feed him for a lifetime...

As soon as a person figures out they no longer have to work hard for what they need, they will not need much, just enough. If National Healthcare, free healthcare, were such a good idea then why not extend it to food too. Allow all those folks just skip on into the grocery strore and take just what they need, do you expect them to take just that, what they need? Not likely.

Life is first, the beginning of civil rights, if the Dems and liberals really cared they would worry about the child not yet born. They would care more about the union teacher than the student. In the first two years of extending the right to strike, over 2200 strikes against the childe in school took place. They would support the tryrant in Iraq and the worsing of affairs rather than lose an election. Former DNC chairman would joke that Hurricane Gustav targeting New Orleans is good for the Dems, why?
Simply because they successfully charged President Bush of not caring when the last one hit, calling the Repubican Administration willing to allow people to suffer for poitical gain.
My father taught me that a person only fears what he himself is willing to do...This is why the dems complain about elections, crime and corruption...the mirror shows our flaws.
LIFE is the thing liberals fear the most

Palin, experience and Obama

A friend passed along the comments made by a caller on the Medved Show yesterday about experience and Sarah Palin. The Challenges to Sarah Palin's experience can best be met by the follow..."Should something aweful happen to Senator McCain, perhaps she could select Senator Biden as her Vice President"...
Experience---certainly experience in the affairs that impact our nation are important for consideration as to who might be the best choice to be elected President. The host of areas that a President must deal with over the course of 4 years is breathtaking. From Budgets, to negotitions, to contracts, to economics, World Affairs and domestic policy, Education and Health issue all are vital to and important for our Presidents to have some realm of understanding, aren't they?
Perhaps we might expand this list to include the experience of owning a house, running a business, hiring and firing to make a payroll, negotiating with your mechanic or handy man.

Yet, Presidential biographer Richard Reeves points out that no one is prepared to be President for it is about reacting to events, not creating them. Presidents are subject to events that which they are required to respond, not legislate. This is why the experience that has possibly best prepared people is that of being an executive as with a Governnor. Senators, legislators are less tested on momentary decisions while Governors are tested by such.

Obama has experience in legislatures not as a chief executive. Palin is matched against the vast political experience of Joseph Biden not that of Senator Obama. John McCain has been a leader yet has spent the last 28 years as a legislator, not an executive. So, while Palin may lack Washington Experience, she has adult experiences, with balancing budgets, mothering, wife-ing and as a Mayor and Governor...so it might be somewhat of an aburd point to argue she is not prepared to make decisions.

What will matter, is how much Sarah will be considered as a top advisor to President McCain, yet, as history would suggest, this too is little comfort in the success of the VP. Consider FDR rarely spoke to his Vice President, Harry S Truman. Truman succeeded FDR upon his death in Warm Springs Georgia. FDR had failed to keep his Vice in the loop on any of the major issues of the day. From the Post War world considerations, to the Manhatten Project Truman was an outsider in the Roosevelt Administration.

Chester Arthur was a Customs Inspector who was choosen and eventually became President, so it is not a crazy and rare as you might think. Democrats will say that Biden is a solid choice, however his decision making is suspect.
Biden is the senior person on the experential scale compared to Obama, however, his public statements fail the sniff test. He was wrong on Soviet Detente verse Reagan hard line SDI policies. He was wrong on Iran in the 70's and early 80's and is wrong today on Iraq and his suggestions of failure and the need to partition into thirds. He was wrong on the 1st Gulf War and the list is large, his judgement is poor on the important issues we have faced.

Heartbeat away from the helm of power...is she ready? Palin has experience as a chief executive, this is training in making decisions based upon events. As Richard Reeves points out, this is the key, the ability to react to events. Sarah Palin has this experience while Obama and Biden have no record on event driven decision making.
So, we can make the argument that of all the candidates, Sarah Palin is the best prepared. We can fully expect the arugment focus upon experience rather than decision making but the preperation of stressful situations is the training for leadership.

JFK...the Senate and the ship of state...The best and the brightest...boils down the the people you surround yourself with. Kennnedy had the team of advisors, so famous, a book was written about the Best and Brightest. Yet, Kennedy failed in the Bay of Pigs decision, elevated us into Vietnam, and failed in his first meeting with the Soviet Premier. Kennedy had to learn through the experience he garnered in the White House, for the experience in the Senate offered nothing that served his reactive needs.

Professors, those who can do, those who cannot teach...you may recall hearing this, but the humor is quickly lost when one places too much importance in IQ. Biden once remarked that I know I have a bigger IQ than so and so...

Ultimately, the Presidency is an office best suited for a person equipped to make decisions. The President must deal with what confronts them...react to the events of the day. Palin is a Governor, yes only 2 years in, but she has the preperation none of the others have, an experience in event directed reaction.
Ask any MOM if she has preperation in stress, and spot decisioning making. From PTA, to Mayor, to Governor, to Hockey Mom and finally to wife...helping manage a business and paying a mortgage, she is prepared, she is as prepared as she has to be...She has real life experience, the name of the leader of Georgia, Chili, Chad and Qatar can be learned, the name of the real power in Russia, Putin can be briefed. She can be taught what she needs to know, but she has prepared all her life to Lead!

Palin for President.
